Leave your busy world behind and discover the magic of Maui, on a rejuvenating 4-day wellness retreat.

We will be relaxing and recharging at Hale Akua, a luxurious eco-retreat center and organic farm situated in the jungle of Haiku, Maui overlooking the ocean. Hale Akua, although conveniently located near the airport, historic Paia town and the infamous road to Hana, will be our own private oasis tucked away from it all.

This retreat is designed to give you the opportunity to just “be” and “be taken care of”.  For you to get back in touch with the “Space of the Heart”, a term that was introduced by the great yogic-tantrik master of Kashmir: Abhniva Gupta (c. 975-1025).  He described this place as a secret place inside you where you feel the most you, that place where you feel the sheer joy of being you.  It is that part of you that stays constant in all experiences throughout your life.  It is the mysterious benevolent field within that reveals itself most readily when we take the time to slow down and just be!

This is an opportunity to “unplug” from daily routines, the digital world, politics and anything else that is cluttering your mind and stressing you out.  The time is yours to do as you wish.  There is no doubt that you will leave feeling replenished, up-leveled and with more inner strength.

Offerings will include:

– Yoga

– Meditation

– Ayurveda

– Sound bathing

– Nourishing farm to table meals

– Optional island excursions

– Swimming

– Hiking

– Massage  (price not included)

…and plenty of time for rest and personal time.

Yoga:

Invigorating alignment-based yoga postures in the morning, restoring and nurturing yoga postures in the evenings. Offerings will include: breathing exercises, mantra (sacred chanting) practices and philosophical discourses on the ancient tradition of yoga.  This retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga.

Meditation:

Whether you are new to meditation, do it daily or are somewhere in between you will receive the support you need to develop or strengthen your practice. This instruction is for everyone: experienced to beginner. Includes both seated silent practices and guided lying down practices (yoga nidra).

Sound bathing:

Sound bathing is a form of “Vibrational Medicine” and is based on the scientific principles that all matter, and most importantly, the cells in your body, vibrate to a precise frequency when healthy and to a dissonant frequency when in dis-ease.

Gong and quartz crystal bowls create resonant vibration, rhythms and tones that balance brain hemispheres, stress levels, and even tension in body tissues and cells that have fallen into “dis-ease” or “dis-harmony”.

Massage:

There are a limited amount of time slots open Friday, Saturday and Sunday to book a relaxing 1 hour lomi lomi/swedish massage with our on site massage therapist Kat Michelle. The cost is $85 and can be paid in cash at the time of your massage.

You will be able to select one of these time slots when you arrive to the retreat on Thursday. Booking will be first come first serve.
