Jennifer Reuter

Jennifer commits to teaching yoga, as way of life, both on and off the yoga mat. Her approach to teaching yoga is based off the principle that each pose is a metaphor for conscious living.

Jennifer fell in love with the yoga tradition in 1998 after receiving her first copy of the “Bhagavad Gita”. Being certified in the health and fitness industry since 1995, it was only natural that the passion of yogic philosophy would guide her to find the passion of asana on the yoga mat. She has studied extensively with many different teachers and believes there is no “one” way or style that is superior, but only the way that feels right in your body, mind, and heart. Her main influences include: Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman, Tias Little, Anusara & Pilates systems.  You will find that her classes are “interdisciplinary” inviting both ancient and modern; they are intelligent, innovative and always incorporate the deeper aspects of yogic philosophy, mantra, breath and meditation.

Jennifer is a long-time meditator and since 2008 has been formally enrolled with Blue-Throat Yoga (a school dedicated to the study of meditation, yoga, and tantra). These in-depth studies have highlighted the subtle and nuanced understandings of the theory and practice of meditation. She credits her own personal meditative practice as the source of her greater wisdom, love, and presence.
