Farm Tour Experience

Hale Akua Garden Farm & Eco-Retreat Center is located just past Twin Falls on the Road to Hana.

Stop by on your journey to Hana for a unique nature learning experience in the jungle.

Aloha Farm Tour Times: 

• Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am *pre-booked appointment tour time only with a minimum of 48 hours notice*
• 60-90 minutes

**Workshops bookings are dependent upon Farm Team Member availability, depending upon the Workshop chosen. Contact us for special pricing for these workshops and for scheduling of these workshops**

Activity and Tutorial Pricing:

• $30.00 – Per person (ages 6 and up) – Minimum 2 People Per Tour
• Free – Children 5 and under
• **Minimum 2 people per experience

Arrival / Departure Speed Limit:

Please ensure to drive VERY slowly through our neighborhood (5 MPH on Door of Faith Road) as many local Hawaiian families, children, and animals also share this space. 

Educational ‘Aloha Farm Tour’:

• Our Aloha Farm Tour is built for people of all backgrounds and knowledge of organic farming.  During this tour, you will be guided around Hale Akua’s beautiful jungle farm and will have the opportunity to learn about all the wonderful organic ways we raise animals, vegetables, fruits and herbs and get the chance to see (and taste!) what’s currently growing in season. Have the opportunity to learn and ask about our methods of composting, worm composting, growing mushrooms, micro greens, managing food forests, and more! Meet and spend time with our ducks, chickens, bees and fish, and learn briefly about how you can raise them yourself in your own backyard. Learn about how to enrich your soil in your backyard by growing cover crops, and how utilize different permaculture methods like “chopping and dropping” commonly grown plants to use as a mulch to cover soil and increase soil microbial life. The health of your garden depends on the health of your soil.  
   
  Ask questions along the way to what interests you, and be ready to receive a wealth of information from your farm guide! 

All reservations are confirmed via credit card, once the availability of the Workshop is confirmed.

Cancellation Policy:  All reservations are confirmed via credit card.  24 hours or more are required for a full refund.  Workshops that require materials to be purchased, will require 48 hours for cancellation and will be non-refundable however option to reschedule.

Date & Time Details: Farm Tours are conducted on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00 am. Please call the office at least 24 hours before your desired time (48 hours or more preferred) and let us know what date you would like your tour. Some activities and tutorials may not be available at your requested time, since it needs to match the availability of our farm expert’s scheduling availability.
